A zine, or fanzine, is a compilation of art/writing from fan creators that is sold digitally or printed as a small book.What is the format of this zine?
This zine will be formatted into a free digital PDF with digital merch.How many contributors are you planning to accept?
Anyone can apply and will be accepted! However:
We’re a silly zine, but please don’t apply as a joke or with false information. We are serious about wanting to see your worm creations!What content will be featured in the zine?
- Any character from Honkai: Star Rail (including playable characters, NPCs, and enemies)
- SFW (safe for work)
- Gen content (romantic ships will not be featured)Will this zine be spoiler-free?
No. Contributors will be allowed to create pieces containing spoilers for all of Honkai: Star Rail.Is there an age limitation for participating in this zine?
Contributors must be at least 13 years of age to account for social media usage. Contributors lying about their age may be removed from the project.Do I need to have experience to apply for the zine?
No previous experience is necessary! You also do not need to be experienced in drawing worms!I have a question/concern that isn't addressed on here.

expectations and guidelines
All contributors are expected to create an original piece of work for the zine that has not been previously published.All contributors are expected to use Discord as the primary method of communication. Please be prepared to create an account if you do not have one already.Please refer to the schedule to ensure that you are able to commit to the zine's timeline. If any questions, concerns, or needs arise, please communicate your needs to a moderator in a timely manner. A lack of responsiveness hinders the entire project, and continuous inactivity will result in removal of the project.AI-generated and assisted pieces are strictly prohibited from contributor applications and this zine.While we do not judge applicants based on what they create for outside of the project, we will not tolerate harassment or bigotry toward others in and out of the zine.Artist
Application Requirements:
- Portfolio of at least 1-3 works.
- At least 1 sample must feature Honkai: Star Rail content.- Artists will be expected to draw one colored page for the zine. A background is not required but recommended.
- Artists may request to draw a 2-page spread illustration.
- You do not need to have previous worm drawing experience.
- Artists of any skill level are welcomed.Writer
Application Requirements:
- Portfolio of 1-3 works.
- At least 1 sample must be a complete, 1k word minimum, standalone piece.
- At least 1 sample must feature Honkai: Star Rail content.- Writers will be expected to write a fic with 1k word minimum.
- You do not need to have previous worm writing experience.Merch Artist
Application Requirements:
- Portfolio of at least three samples of completed art pieces, preferably that of digital merch (ie: emotes, icons, wallpapers, etc).
- At least 1 sample must feature Honkai: Star Rail content.- Merch Artists will be expected to draw at least ONE piece of digital merch for the zine.
- You do not need to have previous worm drawing experience.Other Mediums
Application Requirements:
- Please use the Artist application form
- Portfolio with at least 1 sample of the medium you wish to work with
- Does not have to feature worms or Honkai: Star Rail characters.
- Must be able to provide a high-quality photograph of final creation.- Other mediums can include customization of actual worm, cosplay, needlework and more. You are allowed to apply to create any non-traditional medium except music.
Examples of Acceptable Worms. These are not the only worms we accept, but your worm contributions should be similarly worm-shaped. Genre spins (sci-fi/horror/fantasy/etc) on worms are also okay (as HSR spans all these genres), but something like a Dune worm would not be accepted.
